The announcement of Viking’s restart of European river cruise functions follows the launch of “Welcome Back again” voyages exclusively for vaccinated guests in the United Kingdom, Iceland, Bermuda and the Mediterranean.

Earlier this week Viking also named its newest ocean ship, Viking Venus, in the U.K. That ship is currently sailing a maiden voyage alongside the coast of England with chairman of Viking Torstein Hagen onboard.

Viking stated in its press announcement that “the company is actively functioning on establishing added ‘Welcome Back’ itineraries in a wide variety of other locations, with the intention of announcing even more 2021 sailings as shortly as attainable.”
