Viking will extend its existence in the Mediterranean this summertime, including a 3rd ship to sail roundtrip voyages from the Maltese capital town of Valletta—a cultural UNESCO Earth Heritage Web site. Made available as part of Viking’s “Welcome Back” collection, Viking Star will now sign up for sister ships Viking Venus and Viking Sea and will sail a new 11-working day itinerary, “Malta & the Western Mediterranean.”

With the addition of this new voyage, vaccinated friends now have three new solutions for enduring the Mediterranean among July and early Oct 2021. Company on the “Malta & the Western Mediterranean” itinerary will right away in Valletta and then sail to Sicily and Spain, contacting in Messina, Naples (Pompeii), Civitavecchia (Rome), Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Genoa and Barcelona, ahead of returning to Valletta. All those on the “Malta & Adriatic Jewels” itinerary will right away in Valletta and then sail to Montenegro and Croatia, contacting in Kotor, Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Šibenik, before returning to the Maltese archipelago, with a end on Gozo Island and eventually again to Valletta. And attendees on the “Malta & Greek Isles Discovery” itinerary will also right away in Valletta and then sail to Greece, contacting in Kalamata, Athens, Santorini, Rhodes and Souda Bay, prior to returning to Valletta.

The news follows Viking’s recent bulletins of preliminary “Welcome Back” ocean voyages in England, Iceland, Bermuda, which began in May—as well as the restart of European river operations starting in July 2021. Viking also not too long ago named its most recent ocean ship, Viking Venus, which is presently sailing in England with guests.
